really excited for what's happening in lishan's family. her sister rededicated her life after 11 years and her mum is so close to receive the greatest love that anyone could know.

11 years! that's like over a decade, yet, she's so persistent. i'd never imagine myself praying and persisting for 11 years for the salvation of my family. after seeing and hearing what has happened, i'm really encouraged and really trust that God will always be faithful. be it 1 month, 1 year or 11 years, God will cause situations to change, miracles to happen.

and i believe the persistence had caught God's attention. which is what a Christian should do, one or two prayers will never be enough, we need to cry out so much that it catches the attention of God.

God, a god of impossibles.

enrollment service on friday. our batch of people came for the service and we had a mini gathering. really nice to have a short time of catch up with them. and i really miss being a girl and being part of the nco council.

was at malaysia yesterday afternoon till this evening to 扫墓. it wasn't as solemn and serious as i expected to be. it was light-hearted and i enjoyed the short getaway. playing with all my younger cousins and enjoying the time without twitter and facebook and smses. it was good.

how has life been for me?
it has be not too bad. this holiday is really activities filled. so filled to the extent that it doesn't actually feels like i'm having holidays. can't say that i don't enjoy but, i do hope to have some time for myself where i can get to slack a little, nua a bit. approximately 3 more weeks to the start of my last year. time flies but i'm looking forward to school and i really hope to see myself working hard and excelling in the last two semesters.

certain things doesn't go well and all things seem to be coming your way, crashing down. everything was going well a moment go. you ask God why is everything happening. but He remains silent. you cry out to Him. He remains silent. with the silence, you decide to do things your own way but, nothing seems to be better, instead worsen. then, with no choice, you come back to God and cry out to Him again. this time, He answers and everything is alright again.

aren't we like this sometimes facing with sticky situations? we call out to God, but He doesn't seem to care and bothered to reply then we decide to take things at our own strength.

silence doesn't mean God isn't working. silence doesn't mean God isn't bothered. my God is bothered with me, every single aspect of me. He listens to each of my cries. He hears me out. we just need to be a little patient and keep spotting the little things which He does that eventually leads to the prayer and cries.

my God isn't genie in a bottle or a fairy godmother.
He is real. He loves me for who i am and is very serious about the relationship with me. He pours out blessings abundantly and floods me with His everlasting love. His love never fails, no matter what i did in the past.

He rejoices with the angels in the heaven when i first asked Him into my life.

The Most Important Part of Your Day

Any doctor will tell you the most important meal of the day is breakfast because the way you start your day influences the rest of your day. That’s true not just physically, but spiritually.

That’s why the most important part of your day is your time alone with God. Setting aside time in the morning to be alone with God will set the pattern of your attitude and response to every event and person for the rest of your day.

Whether it takes five minutes or thirty, there are four things you need to do in this time alone with God that will set your spiritual thermostat for the day.

Read God’s Word.
You don’t have to read a lot, just enough until God speaks to you. It’s amazing how God will use his Word in your life. As the prophet Isaiah said, “The sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom” (Isaiah 50:4). I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read something in my morning quiet time that was exactly what I needed to share with someone later in the day.

Be quiet before God.
Noise is one of the major sources of stress in peoples’ lives. Your body needs a certain amount of quiet, and you need to carve out time in your life for this quietness. You will be less stressed if you start your day with quiet time before God.

“In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength” (Isaiah 30:15 NIV). The worst thing you can do in the morning is get up and immediately check your e-mail or turn on the news. You need time to meditate on God’s good news before you fill your mind with bad news.

Talk with God.
Notice it says “talk with God,” not “talk to God.” Prayer is a conversation, not a one-way street. And it’s not the amount of words you say in prayer that make it effective. It’s about sharing what’s on your heart with God – your feelings, concerns, thoughts, and adoration. Just talk with God and then wait on him to respond.

Review your day and goals with God.
Take time to go over your schedule, your goals and your day’s to-do list with God. There are dozens of verses in Proverbs that talk about planning with God and teaching you to number your days, which means looking at your time and pondering where you are going.

It’s easy to set goals, but if you don’t look at your goals every day, you will never accomplish them. Or as I like to say, “Without review, I lose my view.” Make sure you allocate part of your quiet time to review the vision God wants you to have.

from the decision making of selling to the painstaking process of producing; the ecd first step! bazaar has finally come to an end after 2 months plus of preparation. it was my very first experience of setting up a stall and selling products to people whom i don't even know. i guess the last time i sold something to people was during secondary 1/2 selling painted and customized clothes peg for heartstrings day. this would be counted as a second encounter.

it was a good experience for me. a lot of uncertainties felt (like will people buy the products, what if the products are not sold at all etc) and a lot of questions popping up in the mind. prayed as i was on the way to meet the rest, asking God to bless us with a good experience.

indeed, God will never fail. the first few minutes we had zero sales. soon, the first customer came and bought our first item. slowly after, sales begin to pick up and we broke even and start to earn our very first profits!

the day ended when we packed up and started counting and distributing the profits! it felt good receiving the profits which reflected the hard work and effort we put into this project.

we had our second dinner together today at clementi. char-grill was great after seeing so many people commenting about it. the food was good and value for money. on top of that, the company was even better! this time round, derwin, reena and lishan were able to join us for dinner and yes, the more the merrier. it's only second week of the year and i'm already enjoying all the time i spent with the lifegroup. i really thank God for placing me in kairos with this awesome bunch of people that i'm going to spend my eternity with. how amazing is that!

really encouraged that despite how tired danial was (for not sleeping for 3 days consecutively), he still joined us for dinner! this is how i dream for the lifegroup to be. no matter how tough it might get for all of us to meet, we'll still make the effort to. it shows how much we value each other and the lifegroup.

praise God for everything. it's impossible without Him. going to believe for more and even greater things to come for the lifegroup! kbs ftw!

past two days have been hectic and tiring with meeting deadlines and preparation for presentations the very next day. common test is coming up at the end of the week, but, i haven't done any single revision at all. i am really hoping for more time this time round so that i can complete my tutorials and also more time for revision.

at this moment, only God can help me. only He will be able to give me strength to last a long day, only He can maximise my time for revision. and at this point of time, it's where i need to cling on more tightly to Him to experience what my mighty God can do which nothing in this world is able to. jehovah jireh, my provider to all my needs.

spent most of my sunday at queensway to cut plastic bottles. it was a good 3 hours spent cutting the 1.5 litres ice mountain bottles together with my group mate, clients of christian outreach to the handicapped, people from shekinah assembly of God and also the residents of queensway.

it was an enriching experience for me although it was only cutting the bottles into flowers and spirals that were to be used for the christmas decorations for queensway shopping centre. and this marks the start and the end of my group's i&e project which we were to find a community service to do!

but, i'm more proud to say that i am part of this project! because it's really good, seeing people of God coming together playing a part in the community!

it's my first guitar lessons and i am glad i found some musical talent in me! HAHAHAHA! never thought i was musically inclined but, it's good that i was able to get what was thought just now. (Y)

finger tips hurt real badly now. i believe by next few sessions, it's going to make them become rough till i cant feel the hurt anymore.

thank God lessons start at 1pm tomorrow. for the very first time, i really love the idea of afternoon lessons! shouts resting early tonight and waking early tomorrow morning to do tutorials and maybe do some strumming! (Y)

just came back from regional meeting and it was great! the message today was what i needed to hear and act on it.

we often think so much before we act on it. we think of the consequences, we think of the 'what if's and we come up with all sorts of excuses for not acting on it. and such thinking always limit and restrict us from from doing great and extraordinary things which God had planned for us to do.

if only we could walk out of the mindsets we have and not let them limit the great things which we are able to do. it's difficult, but, if we step out of our comfort zone and take the first step, we will be able to do it.

leave all the 'what if's behind and look forward for the great things that will happen!

against all odds, just do it.
